War & peace
It’s balmy late May and I seem to have the adult version of senioritis.
I can barely summon interest in Trump’s latest utterings, including about Iran. I am deep into the audio book of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. (The best part: It’s endless. Am currently in Volume 3, Chapter XV, and there are still 28 hours left. The longer, the better).
We are so proud of our older daughter Zoe, who is graduating college this week, with a degree in social work. And who is using her education, talents and tremendous compassion to help others.
The young generation are not as hopeless and dismayed including by the current political moment as many in my generation, and that is something to give one hope.
Will be refreshed and refocused on the wars and peace of our time, and get back to reporting and posting next week.
Happy Memorial Day wishes.
